Vintage Couture: Vintage Couture Fabric and Trim
These fabrics were purchased during the 1960's-1970's by Count Ferdinando Sarmi, a European/New York Couture Designer. After several years of working with Elizabeth Arden, he opened his own boutique in New York. He would travel to Europe to purchase many of his wonderful fabrics and was especially known for his exquisite and extravagant hand beaded creations and expensive evening gowns and dresses. When his business closed, all his dresses, fabrics, trims, and accessories were purchased by a New York gentleman, who later moved to Ohio. His dream to utilize these magnificent items, never came to fruition and were stored for over thirty years in a warehouse. In 2006, they were sold to many people in the US and elsewhere. These exquisite Sarmi trims are one of a kind and the exceptional quality and unique fabrics are authentically vintage, gorgeous, and being sold at an amazingly low price.
